A large tract of ground on the sea coast between Earlshall and Ferry-Port-On-Craig. it was formerly all a tract of uncultivated moorland but is now divided into farms. and a large portion of it is under cultivation, it forms a part of the farms of Channel - Rhind and Cast with the whole of the farms of Fetters, Old Moor, Kinshaldy and Whitecroft. It is the property of different proprietors - chiefly that of General Lindsay of Balcarres & Col. [Colonel] S. Long Esqr. of Earlshall. |
