A neat and well constructed rectangular building erected about the year 1838 in consequence of the Old Church being previous to that time getting into a dilapidated state. It is seated to contain 600, has an average attendance of 400 and yearly communicants 350. The present Incumbent is the Revd. [Reverend] Mr. Thompson who's salary is, Wheat 8 Bolls, 2 Firlots, 1 Peck 1 Lippie, Barley 8 Bolls, 2 Firlots 1 Peck 1 Lippie and £8.6.8 in money.

I am unsure about the figure 118 Bolls of Barley. It seems excessive. It is probable the writer wrote 11 then another hand corrected it to 8 without scoring out the error. I have opted for 8.
