It appears from enquiry that the dwelling house named Nuthill previous to it being pulled down was of a plain appearance O.T. Bruce Esq. states that as a dwelling house it was indifferent both as regards Convenience and Situation.
There is not any visible trace of the building now to be seen but Mr Bruce pointed out the exact place which, from his residing in it previous to the erection of Falkland House, he was quite capable of doing so with accuracy
