Pittarthie Castle (Ruins of) [Authorities] John Gray, Keeper. George Hannay Esq. John Cunninhame, John Hodge. [situation] About 1 Mile SE [Southeast] from Kinaldie. [remarks continued:] from the second flat downward, supposed to be a secret way. Formerly a farm steading stood near the Castle but has been allowed to fall into ruins. The castle has been in the possession of the Cunninghame family for many generations back. The present proprietor is Robert Hannay Cunninghame, Melbourne, South Australia.
