018; 019 | [situation] About 1/2 a Mile S.E. [Southeast] by South of the Mansion house of Falfield. This hill is on the estate of Falfield, the property of B.J. Walker. It is mostly covered with wood of a mixed kind. On this hill were found a number of stone coffins, human bones, and coins. Regarding the latter, Mr. Walker is uncertain what kind they were. A deer's horn was found embedded in the moss, on this hill. There is a trig [Trigonometrical Station] called Dunerd Law. There also was a circular building like a round tower built without mortar of any kind, which is now fallen down and becoming a heap of stones on which the trig [Trigonometrical] station is placed. |
