017; 018 [situation] In the Eastern portion of the County of Fife.
A small parish in Fifeshire extending in length about 2½ miles and in breadth about 1½ miles. It is bounded on the south and west by the parish of Kettle on the north by Collessie and Monimail and on the east by the parish of Ceres. The superficial area is about 2200 acres the most of which are under cultivation. It is in the Presbytery of Cupar and Synod of Fife, Patron the United College of St. Andrews. There are no detached portions belonging to or within this parish.
