017 [situation] On Bowden Hill.
The remains of an old Fort on the summit of Bowden Hill. It seems to be partly natural and partly artificial, and was evidently a strong position. Though it has been repeatedly ploughed, portions of the ramparts are still pretty entire - it is thought to have been a British Hill Fort.

The ruins of an Ancient Camp similar to that described above. No weapons or remains of any Kind have been found here and no tradition exists in the locality regarding these camps.
