the farm house, & on the opposite side of the road, Danish coins, & remains have been found, Mr Kinninmouth the farmer has some of them now in his possession, but sufficient information cannot be obtained to fix this as the site of a Danish encampment .There is a remarkable Tumulus at the front of the house with a very old thorn tree growing on its summit, but no information can be obtained respecting it.
