Balwearie Castle Continued
wall, which is entire, & part of the North & South walls, - The height of this tower or castle could not be less than from 50 to 60 feet"
The ruin is 3 Chs [Chains] west from the present dwelling house. The field on the South side of the ruin is supposed to have been a loch at one time, & from its appearance at present the supposition is very probable.
