036 | [Situation] On the N. [North] side of the Firth of Forth between Aberdour & Kinghorn. A parish in the county of Fife, bounded on the north by Aberdour and Kinghorn, on the east by Kinghorn, on the South by the Firth of Forth, and on the west by Aberdour. It extends about 2¼ miles from East to West, and about 2½ miles from North to South. Its whole extent may be about 5 Square miles, which is in general well diversified with cultivated fields and plantations etc. It has the royal burgh of Burntisland and Some Antiquities etc of which see their respective descriptive remarks. |
