A good tram road extending from Town hill Colliery to Morning side where it joins Halbeath Tram road, lately the tram road was sold by Mr Christie, to the Edinbro' [Edinburgh] Perth and Dundee Railway Company, who has widened the Trams to the same gauge as their locomotive Lines in order to allow their trucK waggons to pass along it for Coal. The waggons are drawn by horses.
