In the north west part of the Parish of Aberdour, 43 chains north of Cuttlehill.
A small heathy pasture knoll, in Moss Marron, situated on the boundary between two Laird's lands, where, according to tradition, witches were burned, and persons who committed suicide were buried. A quantity of human bones have been found in the Knoll, when making a ditch through it.

In the north west part of the Parish of Aberdour, 37 chains east of Easter Bucklyvie.
The name applies to a number of small hills on a range of hills extending from near the Firth of Forth through the parish of Aberdour; their acclivity [?] on the south is very precipitous and the elevation of the highest above the level of the sea is about 750ft [feet]. […?] to each other the difference of elevation is very little. The hills are chiefly covered with wood.
