the Camp in the ground but
John Syme is positive as
to the site, he is an old man
and remembers the land on
which the camp stood to
have been open moor. the
site he says was often pointed
out to him by his father.
Syme is the only one in Carnock who protends
to know anything of the camp, the
clergyman knows nothing of it but what
he learned from Syme.
