[Situation] In the Western extremity of the Co[unty] upon the coast of the Firth of Forth.
[Descriptive Remarks] A parish in Fifeshire formed by the Union of the baronies of Torry and Crombie. Crombie appears to have consisted of the district of the present parish South of the burn of Torrie, and of certain detached lands distant about 7 or 8 miles, and now annexed quad Sacra to the parish of Saline. In lieu of these, the lands of Inzievar and Oakley, belonging quad cibilia to the parish of Saline, but cut off by the intervening parish of Carnock, have been annexed quad Sacra to Torryburn. This parish is bounded by the parishes of Culross and Carnock on the West and North, by Dunfermline on the East, and by the Firth of Forth on the South. Its soil is generally good, and well diversified with enclosed fields and plantations. In it are some Antiquities etc.
