A neat stone building on the N. [North] side of Townsend Place, It was erected in 1848 by the subscriptions of the congregation, at a cost of £1600. It contains sittings for 300 persons. The income of the Minister is about £120 Per Annum.

A large and handsome stone building erected (1843) & supported by the Burgh funds. Cost of erection £2500. Average number of scholars 250. The branches taught are a general English education, Latin, Greek, French & Mathematics. The master receives £80 per annum from the Burgh funds, besides fees from the scholars. There are two assistants who are paid by the Master.
