Mr Inglis (occupier) Mr Bywater 031 [situation] 1½ Miles S.E. [South East] of Lochgelly village.
A good dwelling house and outhouses including a Thrashing Machine with a farm of land attached the property of James Hay Erskine Wemyss Esquire occupier Mr Inglis. Close to the west side of the Steading at Little Raith the farmer Mr Inglis found several graves, formed with Stone flags inside of which he got urns Containing Calcined human remains. No tradition can be obtained respecting these graves. The place where they were found has a natural Strong-hold appearance.
