[page] 29 Plan 31A Parish of AuchterderranNote: Company's School - Mr. Tod, Factor for Lord Minto, States this to be an improper name, the School was built by Subscription, Lord Minto was the principal donor; and it was intended to be called Minto School; But in the Grant from the National Board of Education it is called "Lochgelly Subscription School" and Lord Minto decrees it to be named So, otherwise "Lochgelly School".
