031 [Loch Leven - Continued] --it has, is by the River Leven -- which flows eastwards from the east end of the Loch. The Course of this river was changed some years ago by means of a new cutting which much resembles a Canal, at the same time the Loch was turned into a Mill Dam for Mills along the banks of the Leven, sluices having been erected to allow water out at pleasure. The River Leven is a considerable size flowing smoothly to its confluence with the Firth of Forth it receives the Lochty and Ore Waters on its course.
