Description of Lochore Castle continued.
.. considerable importance in early times. In the reign of Alexander II Adam De Loch Ore was Sheriff of Perth" The domain of Loch Ore, afterwards passed into the hands of the Wardlaws of Torry and lately into the family of Sir Walter Scott in whose possession it is in at present.
The Crown Charter of the estate runs thus "With the Loch Inchgall Castle, tower and fortilis of the same with the advocation donation and right of patronage of the Chapel and Chapelry of Inchgall."
