A Vale or glen extending from the junction of Pieries and Lochornie Burns to the Mill Dam a little South of Blairadam House, near this Dam are the Kiery Craigs, taken notice of by Sir Walter Scott in his Novel of the Abbot. Through the Glen Winds Kelty Burn which is formed by the above named Streams, after traversing the Glen it passes by Blairadam Sawmill (which it works) Kelty bridge or Bridge-end, thence under Blairadam Bridge on the great north road, and enters the estate of Lochore where it changes its name for that of Ore Water.
