A small precipitous but very conspicuous Knoll on the estate of Cleish and part of the Cleish Range of Hills how the name arose cannot be very well ascertained and if it was formerly Known with the affix farline or farlane, at present it is Chiefly Called Dummie (simply) which in all probability is a contraction of the original name.
