The Tower is five Storeys high and is a parallelogram 60 links by 80, having a dome roof Port-holes. etc. The mansion is in itself a large massive building three Storys high and in good repair and now inhabited as a farm house. The Tower is in a State of dilapidation was erected as a Baronial residence about the close Of the 14th Century. The Mansion was built in 1600 and was for Some time before the Reformation, the residence of Cardinal Beaton. |
