This country is also greatly indebted to the 6th. Earl of Haddington for his exertions in planting trees So as to form plantations of considerable extent a thing that was hardly or ever attempted in this country before, and at this day the woods of Tynninghame forms a noble monument to his perseverance & success, proprietor & occupier the Earl of Haddington |
