An irregularly built village Situated about 2 miles South of the burgh of North Berwick. It is principally inhabited by agricultural labourers, and contains a School, a post office, and a public house. To the east of this hamlet is a Small eminence on which is a Trigl. [Trigonometrical] Station, called "Kingston Hill".
