Ballincrieff [note] There was an hospital or religious establishment at Ballencrief in ancient times (see Chalmers Caledonia) but no trace of the building could now be found. Corpl. [Corporal] Mason R.S. &.M. [Royal Sappers & Miners] has made inquiry in the neighbourhood but got no information respecting it.
