002 A commodious dwelling house the residence of the Estab. [Established] church Minister, Revd. [Reverend] Mr Scott. It was erected in 1825 by the liberality of the Heritors. The Glebe is about Eleven Acres of excellent land; the stipend is 17 chalders: 2 Wheat, 7 1/2 Barley & 7 1/2 Meal, besides £8.6.8 money.

[house] attached; the master's salary is the maximum i.e. £34.4.10 - The fees amount to about 30 pounds, he has also the legal Accommodations - these regulations will change in a few months as the New Law comes into operation. It is attended by about 70 scholars: 40 Male and 30 Female; the branches taught are Reading Writing Arithmetic Mensuration Geography BookKeeping also Greek Latin & French. Mr Palmer is schoolmaster
