A chapel stood here some remains of which existed untill 1811. These remains at that time formed part of the old dwellinghouse in which the font was preserved. At the above date this dwelling was removed and a new one erected on its site. Thomas Hardie, a person who saw the remains of this chapel removed, says that when digging a foundation for the new building human remains were discovered. Of the date of foundation of this Chapel nothing is Known.
