"The Haddington St Johns Kilwinning Lodge (No. 57) is of some
antiquity, having a charter from the Grand Lodge of Scotland
28th December 1599. It had several respectable office-bearers and
is decorated with portraits of three of them. Sir John Sinclair of Stevenson
Bart [Baronet] painted by Deans in 1777 Francis fifth Lord Elcho painted by Jameson in 1807
