A Small Ravine thro' [through] which a stream flows, on the Farm of Stotencleugh and on the east side of Yearn Hope. There is no Cleugh called Stotencleugh and on the East side of Yearn Hope. There is no Cleugh called Stoten cleugh in the neighbourhood from which the Farm Could be named: there was probably when the Farm Ho [House] was erected but the residents have no recollection of a Stoten Cleugh.
