016 A small hamlet in the Parish of that name. It contains the Parish Ch. [Church] and School and has also a good Inn. There is a post office stationed here. The hamlet is situated on the side of "Gare Loch" and a great number of superior dwelling houses have of late years been built in its vicinity.
The extremities of the hamlet are the Church, and School, on the West, and the Manse and Post Office on the East.
