017 A chapel, of which all traces have long disappeared, formerly situated on the farm of "Kirkmichael" and dedicated to the Saint of that name. The last portion of the foundation was removed upwards of half a century ago by Alexander McAuslan's father. A few plum trees still stand in the wood where the Chapel stood, which indicates the former existence of a garden.
