025 | A good dwelling which appears from the grounds around it to have been a Mansion house, but is now Kept as a Farm House, having offices adjoining. Several Roman remains, aS stated in the Caledonia Romana, have been found here, and upon the Same Authority, there waS a Tumulus at Shirva of which there is nothing now Known in the locality, nor do Any remains of a tumulus or remarkable mound exist. All traces of the Roman Wall are loSt about this property. There is An Aqueduct here in the Canal by which the "Board Burn" passes under it. There is the date 1771 on the Aqueduct. |
