019 A projecting rock at the top of a Steep bank on the side of Croy [Hill]. The Wood on this steep bank is called "Craigmarloch". The origin of the name is said to be from a King looking on at a battle from the rock, but what King or battle, the tradition does not say. The name is well known.

South-east of the office houses there are some artificial embankments. very much like entrenchments of an ancient camp, which were made to conduct water for a thrashing Mill close to the Public Road at the bottom. The remains of the Ditch of the Roman wall passes close to the houses of Easter Dullatur.
