The pronunciation of the authorities for modes of spelling appears to have lead the surveyor to the spelling Cackerbank which was later changed on further consideration to Cacrabank. An explanation of the etymology was noted.A descriptive sentence for Cacrabank Burn was crossed out and a new description was entered in a different hand.
