An old ground fortification situated on the Camp Hill is of a circular shape, and about 100 yards in diametor. The Bank was about five feet in height & in a perfect state until levelled by the present tenant. It is now greatly obliterated by being frequently ploughed. Of this Camp no historical writings can be obtained. Tradition however has it, that it was once a British camp, and afterwards held by the Romans |
