This is a chalybeate spring immediately adjoining the Brow the spring is built up and covered over the top by a small mound of earth and the water issues out of a small iron pipe into a small semicircular trough below it, There is a small wooden shed adjoining for the accomodation of visitors raised mostly by subscription, This well is much frequented by visitors during the summer season Very high tides come as far up and even stop the current from the spring

A stream that takes its rise in the North side of this parish and flows in a Southward direction, It has the name of Mill Burn till it passes through a small Plantation 5 chains of the Brow after which it retains the name of Brow Burn till it enters the Solway Firth
