A small Rivulet running into Hightae Loch. As the word Lake instead of Burn is sometimes applied to a stream, I think this should be written Mar Lake. There is a plantation in its vicinity called Marmeadow plantation. Several Lochs in this Parish having been drained - Mar Lake being one - hence Marlake Burn.
