Transcriber's notes
There are initials JBJ below the first two entries in the Orthography and [R.S. Cap. R. E.] (if the first initial is R then perhaps [Richard Warren Stewart Captain Royal Engineers]) after the third entry. There are also initials(?) in the List of Names - Won?Check Berryland - Authority - have transcribed as 'Burnside' - as elsewhere on the page, but the curvature makes it look more like 'Barnside'. See the 'u' in Occupier just above though.
Steilson Cleugh - Descriptive Remarks - addition in red writing is assumed to be 'Fourmerkland' although it looks more like a 'T'. The last two words in a different hand, are probably referencing a source name or book and are unclear - the first word is probably "See"
