A considerable village on the west side of Dalwhat Water the Houses in general are one story high, It contains 2 Inns, 2 Branch Banks, Post office, and, supports 2 Surgeons. There are three fairs held yearly in it. About the year 1638, a Charter was granted constituting Minnyhive a Burgh of Barony with power to hold a weekly market. See Page 2. |
