A small Camp nearly rectangular being all rounded at the Corners, and having a strong rampart and ditch around it
Dr. [Doctor] Simpson of Sanquhar states this to be Roman, and it is also considered so in this neighbourhood, but, every old bank in the County is said to belong to the Roman Period. As there is no other larger Camp in the vicinity, it is, probably a Camp belonging to the Feudal Era.
