An old Tower in a ruinious condition the property of Sir Robert Grierson Bart. [Baronet]
This Tower is said to have been built by the McGregors or Griersons of Lag so far back as the 15th Century; and was originally protected by a wall and ditch.- It is "square and narrow but massive & towering." Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, - and of infamous memory for his persecution of the Covenanters - was its last inhabitant.
