Aplain house or Cottage 2 Storeys high And in tolerably good repair . In it the Poet Robert Burns lived for Some Years and died in it.- It is Consequently an object of much attraction to Strangers. It is presently occupied by Mr. C.E. Hall, Schoolmaster in the Industrial School.-

This is a Free school for the Children of the Poor, whose parents are unable to pay School fees. - The Children also get food and Clothing at this School. It is a branch of the Schools usually Known by the name of Ragged Schools. It consists of a boys and girls School in two Separate Apartments.- The teachers are C.E. Hall And wife whose joint Salary Amounts to £80 p [per] Annum with a free house And Garden attached The Salary is paid out of the fund for the Support of Ragged Schools, And which is Kept up by public Subscription.-
