A Short Street leading off White Sands, to the High Street. It is paved and drained and partly lighted wit gas. The houses are of a tolerably good description- from 2 to 3 Storeys in height - occupied by respectable families. In it is the Old Assembly rooms, lately occupied as Reading rooms.

Tho' improperly used in the adverb "Southerly" it is not [used] as an adjective.
