A plain Stone building erected in 1782 At a cost off about £500, capable of Accommodating 300 of a Congregation with Sittings. The present Congregation is About 130. The Minister is the Reverend Mr. Shearman whose Stipend Amounts to About £100. per annum. This is the only Weslyan Methodist Chapel in Dumfries and Maxwelltown.-
