Point of Hutton Parish, flows due S. for nearly six miles then taking a sudden bend flows for about one mile E. and again debouching runs permanently SW. for 9 miles when it falls into the Annan at the W. side of this Parish. In fair weather it is merely a trifling stream but otherwise it is subject to sudden and impetuous floods.
