139.04 An open space close to and on the north side of the railway where the Corn Market is held weekly, on Saturdays. A low wooden shed close by is where the usual business at such places is transacted.

139.04 An ancient cairn on the top of and near the western end of Hawk Hill. It is nearly circular and about twelve feet in height.
It is composed of small stones and gravel, and, except a few small patches, has a grassy surface. There is no tradition in the neighbourhood respecting it, and, though evidently artificial, it is not certain for what purpose it was raised.
