019 | Alexander Taylor of Bylbster says that he found a stone cist and urn here while cutting the ditch, some years ago, and in removing it he broke the urn, which contained calcined bone and black earth. The coffin was about 5 feet long and 2 feet wide and was formed of rude slabs of stone. |
