018 This house is partly destroyed having been opened a number of years ago, it was opened in the centre and a few small chambers were discovered, it stands about 8 feet above the level of the ground around it, it is situated about 40 chains East of Spittal Quarries. and upon the property of Sir P. M. Thriepland Budge of FingasK.
FOUR STONE CISTS FOUND HERE A.D. 1851 & 1859 [Pict's House, Spital Quarries] 018 Mr MacKay the farmer on who's ground this house stands, says that he has found 4 Stone Cists in close proximity to this mound, but he could not show the exact spot. He found the cists at different dates, one in the year 1851. and 3 in 1859. and they all contained a small quantity of blackish earth.
