018 | This is rather a peculiar feature situated about 120 Yards south from the S.E. [South East] end of Loch Watten, in a field close to the public road; its formation is Circular, being about 60 links in diameter. The clay from which it is composed, differs totally from that of the surrounding fields, and would lead to the idea that is was formerly trenched round. It may be the remains of an ancient Danish Camp, but nothing definite is known in the locality respecting it except, that a wizard named. [Continued on Page 46] |
