018 Is situated about one mile North of Lynegar, on the road leading from Castletow to Watten, it spans the AuKingill Burn, and was built in 1831 it is in good repair, and is well known by this name.

018 This hillocK is said to have been a Pictish House. there is at present but very little of it, as the groung [ground] on which it stood has been cultivated and the supposed pictish house completely destroyed it is situated about one mile North of Lynegar, and upon that farm. the property of A. Adam, Esq of Lynegar. - Nothing has ever been found in this mound which would lead one to suppose that it had been a Pictish House.
